Lawver Chiropractic offers state of the art chiropractic care, physiotherapy and complete x-ray services. We take a complete health history, provide an orthopedic and neurological examination and a report of findings to discuss examination and x-rays findings with you.

We accept most health insurance and are members with many PPO and HMO plans. We will do the billing for you. We accept workmen's compensation and personal injury insurance. We will tell you your insurance benefits to eliminate any questions or confusion as to whether your services will be covered under your plan. Please feel free to ask any questions regarding your insurance coverage. Our staff is here to assist you with your billing needs. We also accept Medicare patients on assignment. If you are without insurance coverage or do not have a chiropractic benefit on your plan, chiropractic is very affordable and we offer flexible payment plans that fit into almost everyone's budget.

FREE AUTO ACCIDENT REPORT

If you have been injured in an automobile accident, we can help you by providing a free accident report. Please call our office at (209) 825-5610 and we will mail or fax a copy of this report to you without delay. Dr. Lawver specializes in chronic and difficult cases, as well as trauma care. No health problem is too big or too small. Dr. Lawver is also a Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME) and an Industrial Disability Examiner (IDE).

CHIROPRACTIC ADJUSTMENTS

A chiropractic adjustment is a manual manipulation of the spine. Our ultimate goal is to attempt to make your spine as stable as possible thereby relieving you of pain, discomfort or disability. The adjustment itself is typically painless and its healing ability normally starts immediately. The adjustment is used in practically all stages of care.

In addition to your chiropractic adjustment Lawver Chiropractic offers physical therapy modalities. They include: Traction, Ultrasound and Electric Muscle Stimulation therapies. A brief description of each follows.

TRACTION THERAPY

We use two types of traction in our office. The first is a technique using a flexion/distraction adjustment table. This technique is called the Cox technique and it is primarily used in disc injuries. More commonly we use a type of traction that is intersegmental on a spinalator. This is used on the entire spine. Its function is to relieve muscular tension, add mobility and tone up muscles that are restricting normal movement of your spine.

ULTRASOUND THERAPY

This particular type of therapy utilizes high frequency sound waves through a gel that causes deep heat and a micro-massage of muscle tissue. This causes muscles to relax and it reduces inflammation. Ultrasound promotes healing and pain reduction.

ELECTRICAL MUSCLE STIMULATION

Muscle stimulation is a physical therapy modality which utilizes pads on the skin to relax or tone up muscles that are restricting the spine from moving toward a normal state. This is also used for pain reduction. This method specifically treats nerve or muscle areas that are causing your pain, discomfort or restricting movement.
